The IDEAL Shredcat 8285CC removes the most tedious part of shredding: standing at the machine. Load a stack of up to 350 sheets into the feeding compartment, shut the lid and the auto feed system shreds the whole stack on its own while you get on with other work.
Security level P-4 with a 4 x 10 mm cross cut makes it suitable for confidential office documents – personnel records, customer information and internal correspondence. For single documents or items that shouldn’t go in the stack, the 220 mm manual feed opening takes up to 6 sheets at a time.
Sensitive material stays protected while it shreds. The paper chamber lid locks with a freely programmable 4-digit PIN code, so a stack can be left shredding unattended without anyone reaching it. A separate feed opening and its own cutting unit handle CDs, DVDs and plastic cards, and a second bin keeps that waste apart from the paper for easy separation.
The 53-litre shred bin pulls out to the front and has a window showing the fill level, with an automatic stop when it is full or removed. EcoMode disconnects the machine from the power supply when it is idle, and four swivel castors – two with brakes – mean it can serve a whole office floor rather than one desk.
