The INTIMUS 9000 shares the 8000’s 10,000 Gauss (1 Tesla) field strength but erases a drive in 3 seconds against the 8000’s 8 seconds, and is rated for continuous duty rather than intermittent use — up to 4,500 units/hour on 1.8in and 2.5in drives.
Suits IT asset disposition (ITAD) firms, data centres decommissioning drives at volume, and organisations running sustained erasure runs rather than occasional batches.
Media slot accepts hard disk drives up to 42mm thick and standard data tape cartridges.
