A rotary disintegrator, not a shredder — reduces mixed media to loose particles via a rotor/stator blade system rather than parallel cutting blades.
The INTIMUS DIS 150/230 is a disintegrator: material is repeatedly cut by a rotating 3-blade rotor against a 2-blade stator until it is small enough to pass through an exchangeable security screen, rather than shredded once between parallel blades like a standard document shredder.
It handles a much wider mix of material than a paper shredder — staples and paper clips still attached, CDs/DVDs/Blu-rays, floppy disks, plastic cards, banknotes and passports — making it suited to records offices, banks and government departments destroying mixed classified material, not just paper.
Continuous-duty rated with exchangeable screens from 3mm to 20mm perforation, corresponding to security levels P-3 through P-7.
